Test Results

This spring (2008), we hired a local professional to perform a nutritional analysis on the Chaffhaye Alfalfa hay and on the Pasture Perfect Orchard Grass hay that we had been producing on our small hobby farm.  We wanted to show our customers a side-by-side nutritional quality comparison.  Click the links below to view the results of those tests. 

The Pasture Perfect - Show Horse® Orchard Grass we tested was cut in the late afternoon to maximize the nutritional value (however it did lengthen the drying time).

We strongly recommend that you have hay sources tested (prior to purchasing and feeding) to ensure that you are getting the nutritional quality required for the health of your grazer. Just because it looks good, doesn't always mean it is nutritionally sound.
